Nursing your baby is one of the most important, special activities of your life & being comfortable means a better experience for you & your baby...although there is no reason why you can't have a comfortable & great looking bra too! Breasts change dramatically pre & post partum, so there are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for a nursing bra. Because there are so many breast changes that happen just before & after birth (through your whole pregnancy really) that you don't want to buy a nursing bra until about 2 weeks before your due date. When you do purchase a nursing bra just before delivery, make sure that it is a stretchy comfort style nursing bra that can accommodate breast growth while your milk comes in ( Bravado & Bella Materna offer some great styles designed just for this). In a week or two after delivery, once your milk comes in, you and your baby have settled into the start of a nursing routine & your breast size has somewhat stabilized is the best time to come in to be re-measured for a more structured & supportive nursing bra.
